The WP&CS produces an edition of ACTION every quarter and posts it to all WP&CS of Australia members. It is ACTION packed with show schedules and results, Regional Promotional Group news, Youth Encouragement Program news and photos, stud news and advertisements and a Notice Board full of reminders and important information.
Members are encouraged to submit photos for the Photo Gallery each edition. Each quarter features a difference category – Autumn is foals, Winter is geldings and Part Welsh, Spring is stallions and Summer is Mares.
Members are welcome to submit articles for the ACTION magazine via the email below.
All editions of ACTION are now also available free of charge on-line. To subscribe for your on-line copy of ACTION and to receive regular Society news, register via the National Office – admin@wpcs.com.au
Advertise in the Action
Members are also able to place advertisements in the magazine, with options that include both black and white and colour adverts and sizes starting from a 1/8th of a page up to a full page or cover option.

SOCIETY JOURNAL
The Society’s Journal is published in June each year to coincide with the Society’s AGM and conference. This quality publication is enjoyed by members and enthusiasts nationally and overseas.
The 350-400 page Journal includes informative articles, stud features, show results and quality colour and mono photographs of Welsh ponies and cobs of today and yesteryear.
Full financial members receive a copy of the Journal as part of their annual membership. Associate members and Welsh pony and cob enthusiasts can purchase current and back issues from the National Office. Visit the SHOP to purchase these.
Advertisements in the Journal can be black and white or colour and size options are available from half page to full page or double full page. Advertisers are offered free submission to the Prize Winners Gallery and listing of stallions. Non advertisers can submit to both of these for a fee.
The deadline for advertisement is 28 February 2025 and for articles, obituaries and reports is 31 March 2025.
Advertisers who submit their ad copy and payment by 28 February 2025 will have their completed ad posted on the WP&CS of Australia Facebook page.

STUD BOOK
Volume 20 was the last published studbook, due to the cost of production and the small number sold.
Stud Books were produced approximately every 2 years and include all purebred animals and Part Welsh ponies registered during this period of time. The books also listed all active members and registered at the time, displaying the prefix and brands of the members.
With the online studbook available to all Welsh enthusiasts researching pedigrees, stud and pony locations and members is always available.
HISTORY BOOK – “THE FIRST 40 YEARS”
A hardcover book with a dustcover, 329 full colour pages outlining the history of the Society from 1969 to 2009.
This book covers the Establishment of the Australian WPCS from its very humble beginnings to the Society it has become today. It is about the people who understood the importance of preserving the Welsh Breed and promoting it within Australia. Includes a lot of lovely historic photographs that have been generously leant to the society by members for inclusion in the book. Complied by Society Patron Mrs Joan McKinley from recollections of members of the Society.

Edited and published by Cheryl Dehaan, this book commemorates the year 1997 of the Victorian All Welsh Show which was the 21st Welsh Show.
TWYFORD PONIES IN THE UK AND AUSTRALIA 1961-1988
This publication has many mono photos, a soft back and is A5 in size with 104 pages. The booklet was produced as a tribute to Alison Mountain and her Twyford Stud of Sussex, England. It has many interesting articles and facts about the beginnings of the Alison and the Twyford Stud, there are many pedigrees displayed with over 60 black and white photos throughout.
Some of the pedigrees include Twyford Gurkha, Dinas Moonshine, Revel Nannie, Twyford Mazurka and Twyford Magpie, plus ponies exported to Australia such as Twyford Samantha (Imp), Twyford Monarch (Imp), Twyford Model (Imp), Twyford Mint (Imp) and Twyford Marvel (Imp).
